Back2Back Cards offers Back to Back Authenticated Collectibles focused on a storytelling connection between each card. We believe every card has a partner waiting to be found. Our mission is to bridge the gap between isolated collectibles and living stories. We are a team of passionate collectors, dedicated to the art of the 'Connection.'

Each Authentic Slab is unique. We produce limited quantities of each collaboration piece, and once certified, your card receives a one-of-a-kind 9-digit certification code that is permanently linked to its verification page. This ensures exclusivity and permanent provenance tracking.

Authentic Slab: Contains an Original Authentic Card graded on traditional condition criteria (centering, corners, edges, surface). Verifies the card is an official Authentic Back2Back Collects Slab.
Unlike traditional single-sided grading, we specialize in the delicate art of back-to-back encapsulation, ensuring both cards are protected without compromising their condition. Our unique three-tier system—Energy, Connection, and Battle allows us to tell the full story of a card's universe. Backed by our in-house graders and instant QR authentication, we provide the security serious collectors demand with the creativity they crave."

The Idea Behind It

Standard graded slabs seal the back of your card away behind an opaque holder — but let's be honest, the back's never an equally valued side. The Artwork, the character, the story - It's all on the front.

So we flipped the idea. Instead of wasting one side, we brought both to life with two fronts, displayed back to back. Now every angle is worth looking at.

But we didn't stop at display. We added story. Each pairing is chosen for a reason — an Energy source that powers a Pokémon, an evolution line that tells a journey, or a rivalry that defines an era. The two cards aren't just sharing a slab. They're sharing a narrative.

Intake & Debris Extraction

Each card enters our dedicated clean-zone environment. We wears powder-free nitrile gloves to shield against fingerprint oils. Minor smudges are gently detailed by hand with a premium microfiber cloth for optimal visual clarity.

Front-Only Grading: We grade only the front face of each card, as this is the only side visible in our featured back-to-back slab display. The reverse side is fully protected within the holder but is not evaluated or graded.

Audit

The Macro-Face Light Audit

Under focused, high-intensity LED illumination, we tilt the front face at a precise 45-degree angle. This forces microscopic surface scratches, factory print lines, and holo-scuffs to cast minute shadows, making them immediately visible. An alignment overlay is then applied to calculate border ratios.

Front-Only Grading: We grade only the front face of each card, as this is the only side visible in our featured back-to-back slab display. The reverse side is fully protected within the holder but is not evaluated or graded.

Grading

The Weakest-Link Guarantee

A card's final grade cannot exceed its lowest-performing sub-category — Centering, Corners, Edges, or Surface. We don't average scores; we protect absolute accuracy. A flawless Mint Surface and Mint Corners still yield a Good (GD) if the border Centering is skewed. The final designation stamped onto the slab and recorded in our digital archive reflects the weakest link.

Front-Only Grading: We grade only the front face of each card, as this is the only side visible in our featured back-to-back slab display. The reverse side is fully protected within the holder but is not evaluated or graded.
