How CardLedger builds every card page
Transparency on our data sources, methods, and affiliate, copyright and editorial disclosures. Data refreshed October 26, 2026.
What CardLedger tracks
CardLedger publishes a live value page for every tracked Pokémon card and a value guide for every set. The current dataset covers 8,062 cards across 172 sets, sourced from real market data.
Every card page shows the market value for each print variant, the low / mid / high listing range, and recent price trends. Every set page adds value distribution, rarity breakdown and a ranked list of the most valuable cards.
Data sources
Card pricing is sourced from TCGplayer (USD) and Cardmarket (EUR) via the Pokémon TCG data feed (CardDex, api.carddex.dev). Both feeds publish market, low, mid and high prices per print variant and update daily; Cardmarket additionally provides 1-day, 7-day and 30-day average sold prices used for the trend analysis.
Card metadata — name, set, number, rarity, illustrator, typing and release date — comes from the same feed. We do not fabricate prices: where a card has no active market listing, the page says so and points you to sold-listing research instead.
The dataset was last refreshed on October 26, 2026. Prices are market estimates derived from these feeds and should be confirmed against current listings before transacting.
How we value a card
The headline value is the highest TCGplayer market price across the card's print variants, since the most desirable printing sets the collector benchmark. Each variant is shown separately because a 1st Edition holofoil, an unlimited holofoil and a reverse holofoil of the same card can differ dramatically in price.
The low-to-high range reflects current listing spread — a wide range signals condition sensitivity or thin supply. Trend figures compare short-window averages against longer ones to show whether a card is heating up or cooling off.
Affiliate & advertising disclosure
CardLedger is supported by advertising and affiliate partnerships. Outbound links to marketplaces such as TCGplayer, Cardmarket and eBay may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. This never changes the prices shown or our editorial assessment.
We are a participant in affiliate programmes and may be compensated for referring traffic. Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" and are independent of the valuation data.
Copyright & trademarks
Card images, names, and character artwork are copyright, trademark, and property of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and The Pokémon Company. CardLedger is an independent, unofficial resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of them, nor by PSA, eBay, TCGplayer or Cardmarket.
We display card images as small, unmodified thumbnails served from the Pokémon TCG data feed, alongside a card's name, set, rarity, number and market data, purely to identify the item being priced (nominative fair use). Images are never cropped, watermarked or repackaged, and are shown only as reference next to price information and marketplace links. Card names and set names are likewise used for identification only.
